Easter Monday Endurance Race Double Header

April 9  2012

 

Kids Ninco GT 1hr Endurance Race

Both races will be made up of teams of 2 drivers with all drivers competing once  on each lane. The kids Ninco GT's race will be racing 5 minute heats  and the Slot.it GT1's race will be racing 10 minute heats. The enter fees will be $5 each driver for the kids race and $10 each driver for the Slot.it race, no solo teams will be allowed. We hope to start the kids race by 3:00pm and the Slot.it  race by 6:00pm. As long as there is a full field of 12 drivers plus for each race, prizes will be given out to the top 3 teams in both races. All car will be  inspected before racing starts. So if you are interested in entering either  event please reply back to me asap so we can work out teams and prizes.

 

Rules:-

 

Kids Ninco GT Cars (for Children under 15)

Open to any Modern GT cars that raced from 2000 onwards in international GT car championships. The cars of choice are basically any of the new Ninco Lightning GT cars

The following models are eligible as Ninco GT Cars. Any Ninco (Sport, Lightened & Lightning) Super GT, GT1, GT2 & GT3 cars.

 

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class Breakout time – 7.0 seconds

Motors – All cars must be running with an anglewinder motor configuration. There is a choice of 4 control Ninco motors to use. NC-5 Speeder (20,000rpm at 14.8v), NC-6 Crusher (23,500rpm at 14.8v), NC-14 Speeder+ (20,600rpm at 14.8v) & NC-12 Crusher+ (23,500rpm at 14.8v).

Gears – Either Ninco or NSR aftermarket gears may be used. The crown gear ratio options are 31 tooth to 33 tooth crown. The pinion gear ratio options are 11 tooth to 13 tooth pinion.

Axles and Bushes – Changing of axles and bushes to aftermarket items is allowed (including Ball Bearing Bushes).

Wheels – Changing of wheels to aftermarket items is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Any original factory plastic wheels may not extend past the original body guards no more than 1mm when looked at from above.

Tyres – All cars must run with the following Ninco control rubber tyres. On the front either the standard or Ninco Prorace 80522 tyres and on the rear either the standard 80520 or 80521 tyres or Ninco Prorace 80515 or 80516 tyres. All tyres on aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Silicone Tyres are Banned.

Suspension – All suspension kits are banned.

Chassis and Guide – Changing of the standard Ninco guide to either the Prorace 80111 or 80112 guides is allowed as long as the guide mounting point to the chassis is not modified. Excessive drilling or modifying of the chassis to reduce weight or to change axle or motor mounting positions is banned. No weights or bracing is allowed to be fixed to the underside of the chassis. All weights (Lead or Blu-tac) and bracing (non-metallic) must be fixed to the inside of the chassis. Any car with its chassis excessively scraping along the track may be disqualified.

Body and Interior – All Ninco (Sport, Lightened & Lightning) cars may be fitted with lexan interiors.

 

Slot.it GT1 Lemans Cars (1994 to 1999)

Open to FIA Group C Sports Car that raced around the world between 1982 to 1993.

Nissan R390 GT1 Long Tail

(The Audi R8C is a LM GTP car and not a GT1 car, so will not be eligible)

Motors – Standard Slot.it Orange Bell 21,500 rpm motor only in the Standard In-Line configuration.

Gears – Open to any combination of Slot.it aftermarket In-Line Gears and Ratios

Axles and Bushes – Open to any Slot.it Parts

Wheels – Changing of wheels to Slot.it aftermarket items is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Original factory plastic wheels may not extend past the original body guards no more than 1mm when looked at from above.

Monday April 25th (Easter Monday) 2011

 

Slot.it 2 Hour Endurance Race GT1 Le Mans

Schedule:- Monday April 25th doors open at 5:00pm

Pre race Inspection starts at 5.30pm

Demo Classic GT Production race starts at 6:00pm

Racing starts at 7.00pm

 

The race will be over 2 hours. There will be a maximum of 12 teams of 2 drivers each allowed to enter the race. Each of the teams 2 drivers will race 6 heats of 10 minute over the 2 hours competing on each of the 6 lanes once.

Car Rules:-

Each team may select any of the following Slot.it GT1 Le Mans Cars (1994 to 1999) to race in the event.

Ferrari F40 LM

BMW McLaren F1 GTR

Nissan R390 GT1

Nissan R390 GT1 Long Tail

(The Audi R8C is a LM GTP car and not a GT1 car, so will not be eligible)

 

* The control motor for the event shall be the Slot.it orange bell end – V12/3 short can 21500 rpm motor.

* This motor may be fitted with in-line configuration only.

* All parts used must be made by Slot.it.

* All bodies and chassis must be stock however the motor pod may be changed from the standard to the offset model of the desired configuration (All HRS chassis’s are banned).

* Tyres will be a control tyre issued by the race organizer on the night of the event.

* The maximum weight of the car shall be 100g. If any team exceeds the 100g limit at the end of the race they shall be disqualified.

 Congratulation to Jason and Kieren Cave who won with a total of 899 laps in their BMW McLaren F1 GT1.

Club Racing Grand Final Event

To finish off the year there will be a whole day of racing at the Slot Car Factory. During the day we will be racing as many classes as we can to bring out those classes that do not always get the chance to be ran on our normal Friday night. Race entry fees are $20 for the whole day or $10 after 1:30pm.

 (Doors Open 10:00am. Racing starts at 10:30 am)

Friday December 24th Christmas Eve 2010

Ninco Modern GT Mini Enduro

7:30 minutes per lane adding up to a 45 minute race. Same rules and cars as the normal Ninco Modern GT Class.

 (Racing starts at 6:30 pm)

All entries for the race go into a draw for a special prize.

Monday October 4th Labour Day 2010

NSR Classic 3 Hour Team Endurance Race

Open to teams of 3 to 4 people racing NSR Classic Sports Cars such as the Ford GT40 Mk.IV, Porsche 917K, Ford P68 and the all new Ford GT40 Mk.II slot cars. Racing starts at 3:00 pm and finsihes at 6:30pm. The entry fee per team is $30 covering the race and practice from 2:30 pm. There is a limit of 6 teams for the event so anyone is interested please email your team details to sales@slotcarfactory.com so that we can start finalizing entries. The 6 teams places will be awarded to the first 6 teams to pay their entry fees.

To start the race a team must present a standard NSR Classic Sport Car for inspection at 2:00pm. The car that starts the race must also be the car used during the whole race, although a spare car may be used for parts. Racing will be non-magnet at 10 volts. All car must be running standard 11:32 gearing and running the supplied competition tyres. During the race a team member will be required to perform a pitstop to replace their tyres under green flag racing conditions.
