Welcome to our Club Racing page. If you have not raced before we highly recommend that you attend our Monday Practice & Tuning Night’s or the Kids Racing once a month (please check calendar for dates). For more information please contact us at the following email address.

Club Racing is only $10 on Friday nights for all classes running between 6:00 pm and 9:30 pm. From February 1st those people who choose to use the house controllers on Monday and Friday nights must pay a $5 hire fee for the night.

       Note - All cars in all classes must run on Rubber Tyres only. With except NSR Mosler’s and Open Le Mans which run on Scaleauto control wheels with tyres.

  

Classic Touring Cars (1960 to 1979)

Open to the two following groups of Touring Cars. Any cars that competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship between 1960 to 1979. Also any cars that competed in the American Trans Am Series between 1966 to 1972.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class breakout time – 8.5 seconds

Motors – 18,000 rpm limit. All cars are to be fitted a motor of less (ie. Standard Mabuchi style motors or SCX RX-42B motors).  All Classic Touring Cars (1960 to 1979) must all run with their original style motors. No motor style conversions allowed.

Gears – Crown gear sizes are open. In-line pinion gears are limited to a maximum size of 11 teeth. Side and Anglewinder pinion gears are limited to a maximum size of 13 teeth.

Axles and Bushes – Changing of axles and bushes to aftermarket items is allowed (including Ball Bearing Bushes).

Wheels – Changing of wheels to aftermarket items is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Original factory plastic wheels may not extend past the original body guards no more than 1mm when looked at from above.

Tyres – Changing of tyres to rubber aftermarket tyres only is allowed. All tyres on aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above.

Suspension – All suspension kits are banned.

Chassis and Guide – Changing of the guide is allowed as long as the guide mounting point to the chassis is not modified. Excessive drilling or modifying of the chassis to reduce weight or to change axle or motor mounting positions is banned. No weights or bracing is allowed to be fixed to the underside of the chassis. All weights (Lead or Blu-tac) and bracing (non-metallic) must be fixed to the inside of the chassis. Any car with its chassis excessively scraping along the track may be disqualified.

Body and Interior – Must be the same as the model was produced. Replacing of the original interior with a lexan item is banned.

Weight – Maximum weight - None.

 

Classic Sports Cars (1966 to 1975)

Open to Classic Sports Cars (Le Mans or Can-Am) such as the Ford GT40 and Porsche 917K that competed around the world between 1966 to 1975. Classic GT Cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette are not eligible.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class breakout time – 7.0 seconds

MotorsAll cars are to be fitted with a NSR Shark 20K control motor (standard motors rated at 20,000 rpm or less will be allowed to race if a NSR Shark 20K motor is not able to be fitted to that car). 

Gears – Crown gear sizes are open. In-line pinion gears are limited to a maximum size of 11 teeth. Side and Anglewinder pinion gears are limited to a maximum size of 13 teeth.

Axles and Bushes – Changing of axles and bushes to aftermarket items is allowed (including Ball Bearing Bushes).

Wheels – Changing of wheels to aftermarket items is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. All wheels must have inserts and be in keeping with the wheels of the era.

Original factory plastic wheels may not extend past the original body guards no more than 1mm when looked at from above.

Tyres – Changing of rear tyres to rubber aftermarket tyres only is allowed. Front tyres are stock stardard with the original tread still showing. All tyres and wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above.

Suspension – All suspension kits are banned.

Chassis and Guide – Changing of the guide is allowed as long as the guide mounting point to the chassis is not modified. Excessive drilling or modifying of the chassis to reduce weight or to change axle or motor mounting positions is banned. No weights or bracing is allowed to be fixed to the underside of the chassis. Super GT

Open to any Modern GT cars that raced from 2000 onwards in international GT car championships.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class Breakout time – 7.0 seconds

Motors – All cars must be running with an anglewinder motor configuration. There is a choice of 4 control Ninco motors the Super GT and Ninco GT classes available. NC-5 Speeder (20,000rpm at 14.8v), NC-6 Crusher (23,500rpm at 14.8v), NC-14 Speeder+ (20,600rpm at 14.8v) & NC-12 Crusher+ (23,500rpm at 14.8v). Any NSR & Scaleauto Super GT cars must convert to a control Ninco motor to be allowed to race.

Gears – Either Ninco or NSR aftermarket gears may be used. The crown gear ratio options are 31 tooth to 33 tooth crown. The pinion gear ratio options are 11 tooth to 13 tooth pinion.

Axles and Bushes – Changing of axles and bushes to aftermarket items cars is allowed (including Ball Bearing Bushes).

Wheels – Changing of the wheels to Ninco or NSR aftermarket items for the Super GT cars is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Any original factory plastic wheels may not extend past the original body guards no more than 1mm when looked at from above.

Tyres – All cars must run with the following Ninco control rubber tyres. On the front either the standard or Ninco Prorace 80522 tyres and on the rear either the standard, Ninco Prorace 80515 or 80516 tyres. All tyres on aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above.

Suspension – All suspension kits are banned.

Chassis and Guide – Changing of the standard NSR guide to the NSR 4843 longer guides is allowed. Using Ninco guides on NSR cars is not allowed.  Excessive drilling or modifying of the chassis to reduce weight or to change axle or motor mounting positions is banned. No weights or bracing is allowed to be fixed to the underside of the chassis. All weights (Lead or Blu-tac) and bracing (non-metallic) must be fixed to the inside of the chassis. Any car with its chassis excessively scraping along the track may be disqualified.

Body and Interior – All Ninco GT (Sport, Lightened & Lightning) cars may be fitted with lexan interiors. All NSR & Scaleauto Super GT cars must use the same body and interior as the model was produced with. Replacing of the original interior with a lexan item is banned.

Weight – Minimum weight 80g and Maximum weight 130g.

 

Ninco GT

Open to any Modern GT cars that raced from 2000 onwards in international GT car championships.

NSR Mosler MT900R (One make class)

Open to NSR Mosler’s MT900R only.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class breakout time – None

MotorsAll cars must be fitted with a NSR motor in either In-Line, Side or Anglewinder configurations. 

Gears – In-line, Side and Anglewinder pinion and crown gear ratios are open.

Axles and Bushes – Changing of axles and bushes to aftermarket items is allowed (including Ball Bearing Bushes).

Wheels – Changing of wheels to aftermarket items is allowed. All aftermarket wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above. Fitting Scaleauto SC-2007 wheels with soft foam tyres is highly recommended.

Tyres – Changing of rear tyres is allowed. Front tyres are stock stardard. All tyres and wheels must sit inside the original body guards when looked at from above.

Suspension – NSR suspension kits are allowed.

Chassis and Guide – Changing to any NSR guide is allowed as long as the guide mounting point to the chassis is not modified. Excessive drilling or modifying of the chassis to reduce weight or to change axle or motor mounting positions is banned. No weights or bracing is allowed to be fixed to the underside of the chassis. All weights (Lead or Blu-tac) and bracing (non-metallic) must be fixed to the inside of the chassis. Any car with its chassis excessively scraping along the track may be disqualified.

Scalextric V8 Supercars

 Open to all Scalextric Ford and Holden V8 Supercars that raced in the Australian Touring Car Championship.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts

Class Breakout time – 8.5 seconds

All cars are to remain standard apart from the following 3 options.

Option 1: Adding a 20 cent coin into the magnet position and no modifications to the body at all.

Option 2: Lowering the body but no weight is allowed to be added. For a guide on how to lower a V8 Supercar body click here.

Option 3: Concerning the new FG Falcon only. Car must remain untouched. Meaning no weight can be added and the body must not be lowered.

Motors – Standard Scalextric 18,000 rpm mabuchi motors only.

Gears – Standard Scalextric plastic gears only.

Axles and Bushes – Stock Standard. No aftermarket parts allowed.

Wheels – Stock Standard. No alloy or plastic aftermarket wheels are allowed.

TyresFront and rear tyres may be changed to MJK’s on all options. Gearing and wheels are to remain standard.

 

General Club Racing Rules

The Following is a brief outline of the rules.

All entrant’s cars shall comply with the following rules to compete and score points in Club Championship Races.

It will be the driver responsibility to ensure that their car complies with the following rules.

Rule number 1

If the rules do not clearly state that a particular modification may be done then under no circumstances shall that modification be performed. Modification that are outside the written rules will be deemed illegal and result in your car being disqualified.

Body

Bodies must be as original RTR (Ready To Race). No additional materials maybe used to modify the bodies.

Wheel arches must not be altered in anyway to widen the guards.

The body shall be fitted with a 3 dimensional interior and windows with a driver or driver/ co-driver depending on the class.

Lexan interiors are not to be used to replace the standard full body interiors. Only cars fitted with Lexan interiors as standard will be allowed to use Lexan interiors.

Chassis

The original RTR chassis as fitted to the original body of the car must be retained unless there is a Pro/ racing version made by the original manufacturer to fit the original body.

Traction magnet are banned unless stated (high downforce magnet motors are also banned).

No third party aftermarket or scratch built chassis allowed.

Chassis may be braced as required by any non magnetic material  inside the chassis only. Sloting Plus Combi Plus Bushings are allowed.

No motor pod will be allowed unless it is fitted or a option by the original manufacturer.

Choice of guides is open but the guide post must be mounted in the manufacturers original position.

All cars shall have at least 1 mm of ground clearance above the rails of a Ninco track.

Wheels and Tyres

Wheels are open to any brand but must have wheel inserts or be a one piece wheel with sufficient detail to represent the style of the period of the model.

Tyres are open to any brand of rubber tyre.

Silicone and foam rubber tyres are banned.

Scaleauto Sponge tyres are banned in all classes except LMP and Open GT.

Wheel and/ or tyres shall not protrude beyond the outer edge of the wheel arch opening when looking at the car from above.

Weight

There will be no weight limit for cars.

All ballast must be firmly attached to the chassis on the inside. No ballast shall be fixed externally to the body or chassis or the car.

Motors

There is a open choice of motors unless otherwise stated in the class description.

No high downforce magnet motors shall be allowed. A maximum magnet downforce shall be set at a later date.

All motors are to only to be fitted into the original motor mounts. Repositioning of the motor in other way that means the motor is not sitting in its original motor mounts is banned.

Short Can motors in Long Can adaptors may be used as long as the motor conforms to the rest of the class rules.

Other Parts

Free choice of body mount screws, axles, bushings, gears, guides and braids unless otherwise stated in the class specific rules.

Racing Classes for Season 2 during 2011

Classic Sports Cars :-

 Open to Classic Sports Cars such as the Ford GT40 and Porsche 917K that competed around the world between 1966 to 1975. Classic GT Cars such as the Chevrolet Corvette are not eligible.  Open to Classic Grand Tourers (Coupe or Roadster) built between 1960 to 1969 and sold to the public in 2 seat or 2+2 seat configurations. All cars are to be fitted with a motor of 18,000 rpm or less (ie. Standard Mabuchi style motors or SCX RX-42B motors). Crown gear ratios may be changed only. Pinion gears may only be replaced by a plastic or brass pinion of the same number of teeth. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 9.0 seconds).

 

Classic Touring Cars :-

 Open to Classic Touring Cars that competed in the Australian Touring Car Championship between 1960 to 1979 and also any cars that competed in the American Trans Am Series between 1966 to 1972. All cars are to be fitted with a motor of 18,000 rpm or less (ie. Standard Mabuchi style motors or SCX RX-42B motors). Gear ratios may be changed. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 8.9 seconds).

 

Ninco - Modern GT Cars :-

 Open to any Ninco Super GT, GT1, GT2 & GT3 cars that competed around the world from 2000 onwards. All cars will be classed as Spec A or Spec B cars and must be fitted with either a Ninco NC-5 Speeder and NC-14 Speeder+. The control tyre for both Specs is the Ninco Prorace Shore A25’s.

Spec A Cars may use any Ninco Pro Race parts as long as the NC-5 or NC-14 Speeder control motors are used. Gear ratios may be changed also.

Spec B Cars may only use the standard NC-5 motor and must be fitted with the full plastic interior as well as the standard plastic gears and wheels.

Points will be awarded to the top 6 finishers in both the Spec A & B Ninco - Modern GT classes from 2011 onwards.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts(Break out time Spec A:- 7.5 seconds, Spec B:- 8.0 seconds).

 

Le Mans Prototypes - LMP Cars :-

 Open to any standard or modified Le Mans Prototype cars that raced LMP1, LMP2, LMP675 & LMP900 classes in the Le Mans Series or American Le Mans Series. Gear ratios may be changed. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above. All high downforce magnet motors are banned. For a list of LMP cars please click here.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- Open).

 

Open Rally Class (2wd & 4wd) :-

 Open to any FIA homologated Rally cars that have competed in a World Rally Championship or National Championship event. All cars must have a co-driver fitted as original from the factory. Pro racing versions are allowed. Gear ratios may be changed. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above. All high downforce magnet motors are banned.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- Open).

 

Open Modern GT Cars:-

 Open to any brands of slot cars that manufacture Super GT, GT1, GT2 & GT3 cars that competed around the world from 2000 onwards. All cars must be fitted with a ready to race chassis that was designed for that car, no Slot it or metal chassis conversions are allowed. Pro racing versions are allowed. Gear ratios may be changed. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above. Choice of motors is free but high downforce magnet motors are banned.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- Open).

 

SCX Rally Class:-

 Open to Standard SCX Rally Cars from any era. Cars racing with the standard wheels must retain the standard crown gear. Wheels and gears may be changed however to aftermarket items as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above. Choice of tyres is open to any aftermarket rubber tyres. Cars not fitted with the RX-42B or other “B” motors as standard may be upgraded. All cars must have a co-driver fitted as original from the factory. No pro racing versions are allowed and from now on any GT cars like the Ferrari 360 and Porsche 911 GT3 are banned.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 9.0 seconds).

 

Nascar :-

 Open to any Carrera, Scalextric & SCX Nascar’s. All cars are to have a 18,000 rpm motor limit which means that only standard Mabuchi and SCX RX-42B motor are allowed. Rear tyres and pinion gears only may be changed. All guides, crown gears, rear axles and wheel must remain stock.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 9.0 seconds).

 

Scalextric Super Resistant Class:-

Open to any standard Scalextric Super Resistant Cars (ie. V8 Supercars, BMW Mini, Porsche 911 GT3 and other GT cars all without interiors). No modification to the cars are allowed other then replacing the standard tyres with similar size MJK, Ninco or NSR rubber tyres.

Racing is magnet at 12 volts (Break out time:- 6.0 seconds).

 

Restricted Modern GT & Touring Cars:-

 Open to any Carrera, Scalextric or SCX Super GT, GT1, GT2, GT3, DTM & Touring Car slot cars that competed around the world from 2000 onwards. All cars are to be fitted with a motor of 18,000 rpm or less (ie. Standard Mabuchi style motors or SCX RX-42B motors). Every car must be fitted with the standard chassis that was designed for that car, no Slot.it, metal chassis conversions or pro versions are allowed. Tyres and pinion gears may be changed only. Standard wheels, crown gear, front axle or stub axle and rear axle must be retained. All cars must have the standard interiors fitted (All Super Resistant bodied cars without interiors are banned).

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 8.5 seconds).

 

Scalextric V8 Supercars :-

Option 3: Concerning the new FG Falcon only. Car must remain untouched. Meaning no weight can be added and the body must not be lowered.

Front and rear tyres may be changed to MJK’s on all options. Gearing and wheels are to remain standard.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 9.0 seconds).

 

FIA Group 5 / Silhouette Class:-

 Open to any Carrera, Fly, MRRC, Revell and other brands of FIA Group 5 slot cars that raced around the world between 1976 to 1982. All cars are required to run mabuchi style motors in a sidewinder or in-line configuration of 22,500 rpm or less. Gear ratios may be changed. Wheels and tyres may be changed as long as they do not protrude outside the guards when looked at from above.

Racing is non-magnet at 10 volts (Break out time:- 8.0 seconds).
